The Oregon
Scientific trademark gets its name from the state of Oregon, in
North America. Well known all over the world for its high tech industries
and for its long experience in the scientific field. Well in line
with this tradition, today the Oregon Scientific trademark has become
associated with quality and reliability thanks to decades of products
characterised by sophisticated LCD and microprocessor technology.
The ongoing research process enables Oregon Scientific to create
products with improved features and performance along with extreme
ease of use. In 1991, Oregon Scientific Inc. became part of the
IDT group (Integrated Display Technology), a company founded in
1977 by Mr Raymond Chan and today a multinational specialising in
consumer electronics, which employs more than 7,000 people around
the world. In 1995 the entire Quality Management System of IDT obtained
the ISO 9002 award. All the displayed products are compliant to
the new CE law valid from 1/1/1996. This law states that all the
products not manufactured in Europe must comply with the requirement
from the European Union regarding safety, environmental health and
consumer protection.
